Education beyond
the classroom
Kuson Samakorn Wittayalai School is the first general education Buddhist scripture school of the Annam Nikaya Sangha in Thailand. Located at Wat Kuson Samakorn in Bangkok’s Samphanthawong district, it was approved for establishment on 20 January 1989.
The school grew out of a summer novice ordination programme in 1987 and a commitment to give young people access to both Buddhist studies and general education.
Its M.1–M.6 secondary programme helps novice monk students build knowledge and integrity, prepare for further study and contribute to Buddhist and community life.
